e-Safety at home
The Internet is an increasing part of todays culture, especially for children, for whom schoolwork, online gaming, and social networking are among the most popular activities. As a parent, there is plenty you can do to ensure your children's experience is both safe and fun.
As we have all been spending more time online in the recent months, for many parents and carers online safety may be more of an issue than usual. It is hard trying to work from home as many of us are doing and occupy our home learners. Lots of us will be looking to online learning tools to help educate and entertain our young people.
We will update this page as we come across links that can help you during this difficult time.
Each fortnight, CEOP will be releasing new home activity packs with simple 15 minute activities you can do with your children to support their online safety at a time when they will spending more time online at home.

CEOP (The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) delivers a multi-agency service dedicated to tackling the abuse and exploitation of children in the real and ‘e’ world. Often it is referred to as an online 999. By clicking on the button, young people and parents can get advice on a range of issues such as viruses, hacking and dealing with bullying online.

New e-Safety Portal for Parents and Schools – Internet Matters
Internet Matters is a new online portal designed for parents to access simple, easy and practical advice about online safety for their children, right through from pre-school to teens. It provides tips on protecting children from online grooming, cyberbullying, privacy and identity theft and inappropriate content. Internet Matters is a not-for profit organisation set up by BT, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin Media. https://www.internetmatters.org/
